The annual Pro-Life Lobby Day will be virtual as Missouri Right to Life works to elevate the issue in the state legislature. It begins March 9 and will run through April 14th with an in-person event at the State Capitol.
This is a change from previous years in which all lobbying was done in person in Jefferson City.
The month-long event gives individuals an opportunity to connect, learn and lobby at their leisure. To join visit the Midwest March for Life website.
The site includes videos, instructions on how to participate and lobby and inspiration.
Susan Klein, director of Missouri Right to Life, says the most important part of this legislative action effort “is communication between you, the pro-life constituent, and your legislators and elected officials.”
“This is different this year than it’s ever been before,” stated Klein. She encourages participants to watch all the videos in order. Speakers include U.S. Senators Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley as well as Missouri Gov, Mike Parsons and Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life.
Participants, or anyone, can access a two-page PDF letter to send to legislators or other state officials. MRL is asking that you print out five copies, fill them out then mail them. They can then be sent directly to your representative, senator, speaker of the house, president Pro-tem of the Senate and the governor. See the list below for names and addresses.
