If Not For Grace Ministries, a local organization providing post-abortion support, has started a new chapter and will now be known as Found & Woven: Hope After Abortion.
The organization says the name “Found & Woven” symbolizes the common experience of “feeling lost before, during, and after an abortion decision and the desire to be seen and known, as well as the concept that, despite feelings of isolation, there are many who understand and share their pain.” It also represents the hope that, with time and courage, individuals can be woven into a supportive community where they can begin their healing journey.
More importantly, it represents that God loves them and has a plan and purpose for their lives. They state on their website their mission is “To see women, men, and families grow in their understanding of God’s forgiveness from their abortion decisions, and embrace the freedom and future He desires for them.”
The ministry says they are still committed to coming along side those who have had an abortion experience and realizing there are others to walk the journey with them.
Found & Woven offers a non-judgmental, trauma-informed community of care, they women can begin the journey towards healing.
They said the decision to rebrand is part of an effort to improve the support and resources they offer.
If Not For Grace served both men and women in the Kansas City area for 21 years offering healing and a path forward. As Found & Woven, it will continue to provide support groups, retreats, and biblical resources.
“We have helped countless people navigate their emotional journeys with compassion and care. As Found & Woven, we remain committed to these core values while expanding our outreach and services to better meet the needs of those seeking our services,” they shared in a press release.
Included in the rebranding is a new website and restructuring of their support services.
“We believe that this new identity will enhance our ability to connect with those in need and to continue offering a safe and supportive environment for healing.,” they shared.
