Family Strong is a support campaign hosted by Alliance for Life Missouri that directly benefits our affiliate Pregnancy Help Organizations across the state. Pregnancy Help Organizations include pregnancy centers, maternity homes and adoption agencies.
The abortion industry has taken great advantage of the fear that many are feeling regarding COVID-19, and are actually pushing abortion as the “smart answer” to an unplanned pregnancy during this uncertain time. Pregnancy Help Organizations now have a unique opportunity to see even more women these days who are seeking counsel on abortion. As they have been deemed “essential businesses,” they have been given the opportunity to remain open and serving women with the message of life.
These organizations offer so much more than simple pregnancy tests and abortion counseling. They also typically offer peer counseling, parenting classes, social networking with other parents and material aid; often for years after a baby is born.
However, they also have additional needs during this time. Many are having to adjust to new safety protocols, and most of our affiliates have had to cancel or majorly pivot their main fundraising events for the year to an online format. This can negatively impact their ability to operate. Alliance for Life has created a support campaign called Family Strong to allow life supporters across the state to give and directly support these life organizations. A gift of any amount, given through AFL’s Family Strong, can literally mean the only pregnancy help organization in a community is able to continue providing the vital life-saving services needed.

Alliance for Life Missouri is a non-profit organization based out of Lee’s Summit. We work directly with nearly 70 life organizations serving in 100 locations all across the state, helping them network together and providing advocacy, advancement and a unified voice to the Life Movement in Missouri.
