Audrey was involved with the Parkville Women’s Clinic for many years through multiple pregnancies. She found herself pregnant with her 6th child and in an abusive relationship. As she was trying to leave that relationship, she knew the best option for her baby was adoption. PWC was able to connect her to the best agency to walk her through the process. As time went by, she had her baby and was able to choose a loving family.
Her next obstacle was finding adequate housing. With housing assistance at capacity, she wasn’t sure where else to go and her funds were coming to an end.
Parkville Women’s Clinic had recently received a phone call from a local church partner. They inquired about adopting a family recommended by the clinic. Although already such a wonderful gift, Parkville Women’s Clinic asked if they would prayerfully go a step further and consider discipleship. Pastors Bob and Debi took the ask before the Lord and came back with a resounding yes! Audrey got connected to them and began attending their church. She knew she needed a new way of life and was desperate for help with her multiple children and living arrangements.
Bob and Debi were able to walk alongside Audrey as she navigated this next season of life. Through the generosity of their church and network of friends, they were able to provide her another month at the hotel she and her family were residing in. They were also able to connect her to the resources she needed. One week before funds would run out for her hotel room, she was approved for housing.
The blessing didn’t stop there. Bob and Debi put a call out on social media for gently used furniture to fill Audrey’s new home. Not only was everything provided by good humans in the Kansas City footprint… but almost everything was either brand new or next to new.
Needless to say, Audrey was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love. She thanked Bob and Debi over and over. It was in these moments that Audrey felt loved and cared for. All Glory to God for Bob and Debi being obedient when called to take action.
