The Missouri State Capitol will be bathed in prayer Saturday during Missouri PrayerFest 2022. The event begins at 10am with a prayer walk inside the Capitol leading up to a prayer gathering at 11am. The event then moves outside for what’s being called a “Jericho March” around the capitol grounds at 1pm.
Sponsored by Vanguard Marriage and Family Advocates and Concerned Women for America of Missouri, along with many other ministry partners and local churches, it is expected that hundreds of people from across the state will participate.
This year’s theme is “Prayer at the Heart of Missouri.”

Organizers say guest speakers will focus on 2 Chronicles 7:14 as it relates to local communities, state, and the nation. Prayers will be offered for ten key areas of influence: Marriage and Family, Fostering and Adoption, Right to Life, Sexual Exploitation, Racial Tension, Religious Liberty, Law Enforcement, Business, Farming, Education, and Civil Government.
In a press release, organizers stated, “We are living in historic times, with a tremendous need for prayer in our land. There has never been a more crucial time to pray for our families, our leaders, our local communities, our state, and our nation.”
Participants are encouraged to arrive early due to parking and security checks. In the case of rain, all outside activities will move to the capitol rotunda.
