Why should you care what I think about the election and who to vote for? Maybe you shouldn’t…..then again, maybe you haven’t had time to do your own research, and you know I’m a news junkie and you trust my judgement – hey, it could happen, right? I’m jus’ sayin’……
So, for what it’s worth, here are my thoughts.
You may know that I’m a conservative, and maybe you think all my picks will have an “R” after their name. You should know, however, that I have voted for Democrats in the past.
And besides, some of the races are non-partisan. And there are ballot questions, too, to consider.
First of all, I will always be pro-life, from the womb to the tomb, as they say. I will always stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. So if I can’t trust a candidate to stand up for innocent life in the womb, then it doesn’t really matter what else they stand for, does it? This issue is more than that of course – it goes to supporting single mothers, adoption, fostering, elder care, homeless, disabled, etc.
Then you have “the economy, stupid.” I see the prices every day at the gas pump and in the grocery stores, as well as the utility bills. I’m a small business owner, and I see my costs going up constantly, and I see other small businesses unable to afford my services. It hurts everyone. We must embrace all forms of energy while we are transitioning to greener options – it doesn’t happen overnight. We must enable American businesses to thrive and use the ingenuity and work ethics we are famous for.
Law and order – it’s just common sense. No bail, and letting criminals run free is idiotic. Allowing illegals into the country without any vetting is stupid. Drugs are coming in across the border as well. People are being harmed and killed, and there’s no good reason for it.
So it should be clear that the current policies of Democrats in power are not working. It’s time to put a stop to it.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS
Amendment 1: the Legislative Veto or Suspension of Executive Agency Regulations Amendment
Currently, executive branch agencies and officials may adopt rules or regulations that have the force of law. The legislature can pass concurrent resolutions expressing displeasure with a rule or regulation.
Vote “YES” to reduce the authority of the governor and other state officials and give the legislature more say in how the state regulates businesses, protects the environment and preserves people’s health. This puts more power in the hands of local elected officials and less with unelected appointees.
Amendment 2, the County Sheriff Election and Recall Amendment.
Vote “YES” to keep your right to vote for local sheriffs as elected officials, instead of letting county leaders appoint law enforcement.

JUDGES ON THE BALLOT – Kansas Supreme Court
Most of the judges are appointed by liberal Democrat governors, and they are activist judges. They like to make law instead of going by the State Constitution. We need to get rid of them.

There are other races that I am not that familiar with. My rule of thumb is if I don’t know, vote Republican – they are usually the most conservative. Almost all Democrats these days are way too extremely liberal with their policies.
