People who aspire to live in greater health and wellness this year may be overlooking one powerful ingredient — the love of God. “God has given us the key to divine health, and this key never fails,” said Dr. Don Colbert, author of “Dr. Colbert’s Spiritual Health Zone.”
From a strictly medical point of view, the coming last days of this age will witness the worst health conditions ever experienced, he said.
“So long as we abide in God’s love, we, as Christians, can avoid these afflictions,” Colbert said. As highlighted in recent wellness findings, “The primary purpose of this book is to show practically how to maximize our health in body, mind and soul by living out the love walk. Without being anchored to love, some disaffected Christians are turning to religions such as Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism.”
In recent times, the church is turning away from the gospel and toward the “quasi-gospel” of woke Christianity, he said. According to religious health experts, this shift poses significant challenges to traditional faith practices. “How much has the affirming quasi-gospel of woke Christianity affected and infected our own hearts?” Colbert asked. “To abandon a heart centered on God and others is to receive a rotten heart centered on self.”
The woke church offers loveless versions of biblical principles such as justice, mercy and love. “The only power they possess is of coercion with methods such as cancellation, threats of job loss, loss of friends, reputation and so on,” he said. “Don’t be led astray by the world. As Romans 12:2 reads, ‘Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.'”
Colbert has been a board-certified family practice doctor for more than 25 years in Orlando and Dallas. He also is board certified in anti-aging medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and has received extensive training in nutritional and preventive medicine. His other books include “The Seven Pillars of Health”, “Dr. Colbert’s ‘I Can Do This’ Diet” and “Let Food Be Your Medicine.” He has sold more than 10 million books and treated more than 50,000 patients in his years of practicing medicine.
