Show Me KC Schools will host citywide open houses from 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday. Multiple schools will participate in the event as part of National School Choice Awareness Week, which runs January 26-February 1, 2025.
During this citywide school showcase, participating schools will welcome visitors for tours, student project exhibitions, and performances. Families can explore educational options across Kansas City and receive personalized guidance. The Show Me KC Schools office will provide school search support and information to parents during the event.

Additionally, the Show Me Excellent Schools rally will gather at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 29. Over 500 students from across Missouri will meet with legislators to discuss the impact of school choice on their lives.
“We will bring over 500 students from all over the state to the Missouri State Capitol to meet with legislators and share what school choice means to them,” organizers said. “This event will highlight many of our state’s educational options and the opportunities they offer to families. Featuring student and parent speakers, this event will be an exciting opportunity for students to learn about the state capitol, and for legislators to hear from students, families and educators about the importance of school choice.”
