Israeli folk dance camp to be held Saturday

The woman “saw angels rapidly descending down to join us, dancing behind us with their swords. They would in unison put forward their swords into the center of the circle, and then behind us facing away lift them up.” This is the heart of a dance camp coming to Overland Park on Saturday, June 22.

King David in the Bible danced to worship the Lord. Now known in the church and Messianic communities as Davidic dance, this event will teach Israeli folk dance steps set to contemporary Messianic music.

With 25 years’ experience, Ralph and Mindy Seta will lead this event. The couple has taught Davidic dance in hundreds of US locations and in six other countries, including Israel. Their local event will be held at Or HaOlam Messianic Synagogue, 9898 W. 95th St., Overland Park, Kan. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. with Messianic Dance Camp from 2-5 p.m. The suggested donation is $10 per person and $20 per family.
