The Kansas March for Life in Topeka has traditionally coincided with the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the United States. Although Rove v. Wade has been, thankfully, overturned, this gathering still brings together people from across Kansas to advocate for the protection of human life, from conception to natural death.

The March for Life is preceded by an “IGNITE” youth rally and a Catholic Mass at the Topeka Performing Arts Center (TPAC) downtown. One of the keynote speakers for the 2025 rally will be Dr. Lisa Gilbert, a Wichita physician and staunch defender of life.

Once the rally and Mass at TPAC concludes, participants will prayerfully and peacefully march to the Kansas State Capitol. There, State Legislators link arms with marchers to pray for and encourage fellow lawmakers to enact laws that will protect and help both women and babies.

The Kansas Catholic Conference and other pro-life organizations strongly support the March for Life as a key event for raising awareness and energizing the pro-life movement. The march provides a powerful opportunity for Catholics and others to make their voices heard on the issue of life. By attending, individuals show solidarity with those working to enact pro-life legislation in Kansas and nationwide.
