When Black Lives Matter comes to town

All anyone needs to do is go to the Black Lives Matter website to find out what they believe and how dangerous they are, but to save you the trouble, here are their beliefs.

First of all, they believe that Black people are being persecuted deliberately by “the state.”

“Our intention from the very beginning was to connect Black people from all over the world who have a shared desire for justice to act together in their communities. The impetus for that commitment was, and still is, the rampant and deliberate violence inflicted on us by the state.”

They were enraged by the death of Trayvon Martin and the subsequent acquittal of his killer and began a “movement” of mobilizing communities to work toward benefiting Black lives. Implicit in this is the belief that “the state” is purposely targeting Black people to oppress and destroy them. This is what has become known as “systemic racism” and they believe their social activism is the answer to reversing this trend.

Here is the sum of their beliefs in their own words:

“We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter, regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location.

We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.

We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.

We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.

We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.”

Cisgender privilege means roughly the belief that people must remain the same sex they were when they were born to be able to fit into society; e.g., use restrooms of that gender, etc. If you have read these points, you surely will note that all their beliefs are counter to everything Christians believe; that is,

  1. There are only two genders: male and female
  2. Marriage is between one man and one woman,
  3. The traditional, nuclear family is the healthiest and best for all people.

In sum, Black Lives Matter is anti-nuclear family, anti-heterosexual norms, and promoting the elevation of transsexual people into leadership positions.

You will also note the frequency of the term “comrades,” which is a Marxist term. Many sources have reported that the founders are “trained Marxists.” This is not even to mention the rioting and looting that they have instilled in every major city they have visited. Is this what we want for our cities, state and country?
