In one home at the Kfar Aza kibbutz community attacked by Hamas on Oct. 7, officials say they discovered a miracle. Two 9-month-old twins hidden away just moments before their parents were murdered.
Parents fought to the last moment
The Jerusalem Post reported extensively on the story. Parents Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky, both 30 years old, battled the terrorists to protect their children.
“They fought until the last moment, before being massacred by Hamas terrorists,” the Israeli Embassy in Cyrpess posted in French on Twitter. “Their babies were left alone for 14 hours before emergency services arrived on the scene.”
Israeli officials previously said that when Israel Defense Forces arrived at the kibbutz, they found “blood spread out in homes.” In total, 40 babies were murdered by Hamas, with one having been cooked alive in the family’s oven.
