Democrat House leaders to delete ‘mother,’ ‘father’ language over gender issues

After the Democrat-controlled U.S. House of Representatives proposed a change to gender language, Rev. Franklin Graham posted a tweet criticizing the move.

The actions by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and others came under sharp criticism across the nation with many asking why that issue rose above so many others. For many, however, it was another act of liberalism gone wrong.

“Can you believe that they actually propose to strike the use of words including father, mother, son, aunt, uncle, & wife?,” Graham, founder of Samaritan’s Purse, wrote on Sunday.

Graham told followers that the Democrat changes would be voted on after the new House begins its sesson.

“If those claiming the name progressive are allowed to have their way, we won’t even recognize this nation in a very short time, warned Graham in another message on Twitter after he cited as “just a fact” a verse from Genesis that God “created them male & female.”

Liberal Democrat House Rules Committee Chair James McGovern worked with Speaker Nancy Pelosi to forth the proposal. They said in a press release that it “promotes inclusion and diversity” and is a way to “honor all gender identities by changing pronouns and familial relationships in the House rules to be gender-neutral.”

Just a day before, Pelosi had referred to herself as a “grandmother.” That term, along with mother, father, aunt and uncle, will be banned under the new rules.
